CreateathonDC – An opportunity for creatives to give back

By: Category: News

CreateathonDC is a non-profit, 72-hour event to help three non-profits establish an online presence. This is a great opportunity for designers and coders to give back to the Washington D.C. community.

Since there will be three non-profit organizations who will be receiving new web presences, three teams will be organized to create a new website with a CMS, a new logo and branding, and a social media presence. From their site:

The mission of CreateathonDC is to gather several teams of hand-picked professional, creative, and technical volunteers from DC’s creative community to create and provide a complete online make-over for three small non-profits located in the DC area. Our goal in doing so is to increase the accessibility of these organizations to the general population. With a stronger web presence, these organizations can expect a higher level of awareness brought to their cause.

If you’re a designer or developer in the D.C. area who wants to volunteer for this great cause, check out the CreatathonDC website for more information.
