Earlier today, designer and developer Sam Soffes released Cheddar — an app designed to clear away the clutter around creating tasks and task management. With its simple, quick and easy interface, navigating around the app is simple— à la Clear. Creating a task is far more quicker too, as all you have to do is type your task, and press enter. While you’re there, you could even type more if you wanted to.

Cheddar also comes with web syncing, which means all your tasks can be synced within your Cheddar account. That means, if you’ve written a task on your iPad, and decide to look it up on your iPhone, the task is already there waiting for you to take action. You could even look up and create tasks too, with Cheddar’s beautifully clean and simple webapp, over at its website.

If you take a look at the video above, Sam Soffes shows a quick demo of Cheddar in action. From what you can see, Cheddar’s app looks great on both the iPad and the iPhone. There’s even Markdown support, so all of us geeks who know and love Markdown will be able to implement them in our lists!

Cheddar is free on the App Store, and as mentioned before, the service will be available on all your iOS devices, or it can be accessed through the web either on a desktop browser or a mobile browser.
However, upon signing up to a Cheddar account, there’s an option to upgrade to Cheddar plus ($1.99/month or $19.99/year), which gives you a little more extra features like the ability to create unlimited lists and more in the future. Expect a full-blown review of the newest task manager service on the block in the days to come. In the meantime, go grab some cheese. C’mon, it’s free!
