Our iPhones and iPads are very important fixtures in our lives. We use them for everything, and it all starts with the homescreen, where we sort our favorite apps. The aptly named Homescreen.me allows you to share your iOS homescreen easily, by uploading it to their site. Your screenshots are shown inside the form-factor of the corresponding device, so you can also share the type of device you own with people.
I enjoy browsing the site because you can get a feel for how iOS users are organizing their homescreens to work for them, and also find some beautiful wallpaper designs.
The design of the site is simple and clean, with a list of users selected by the staff on the homepage. The basic functionality of uploading screenshots is simple: choose your iOS homescreen screenshot from your computer, select the corresponding device, and write a simple description. You can even update your homescreens via email. It’s a very simple concept, but one which should be especially successful within the design community.
Homescreen.me has just opened to the public today, so you can start sharing your iOS homescreens now. Don’t forget to tell everyone where you got that awesome wallpaper!
Or, you can simply use ours!
