Cheddar, one of our favorite to-do apps for the iPhone, is now open source. In addition to a free API, you can now view, fork and download the source code on Github. From the Cheddar blog:
Cheddar for iOS is open source since the app is free already. It is intended to be a source of sample code for everyone to benefit from. You can make cool apps that use Cheddar and hopefully get more users because you built something awesome.
This is a great move for Cheddar, and the designer/developer Sam Soffes, to have an active community willing to help fix bugs and add feature requests. There are some great things coming from Cheddar and Nothing Magical, including a Mac App, so stay tuned for updates at the Cheddar blog, and don’t forget to follow @cheddar on Twitter!
If you’re just getting started developing for iOS, why not download the source and see what you can build with it?
